I've tried merging before, I don't merge right now. If you use sims 4 tray importer to find broken cc I believe it still tells you which file is the culprit, even if it's merged, it will tell you the exact one out of all the packages merged into one is the one that isn't working i.e if.
Should I merge my .package files?
Most of them are from Nraas, are body mods (such as skin tones and various sliders), and the rest are a mixed bag of various tweaks, clothing, hair styles, and items. There's around 300 files.
Most things I've read have said that mods that would require updates when the game updates are not a great idea to merge but with the imminent release of TS4 I doubt there will be another update. With that in mind, should I consider merging my files?
On a side note, what are some ways to reduce micro-freezes? My game has random 1-5 second freezes that occur rather frequently. It's frankly annoying and makes me not play this game as much as I would like to and it's what led me to finding this idea of merging CC package files.
